Jaime Callaghan is an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Doctorate in Advanced Clinical Practice, Master of Science in Nursing (family practice), and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. As a nurse practitioner, her area of expertise has been in both internal medicine and family practice serving patients both pediatric to geriatric. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Dr. Callaghan was employed as a registered nurse at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth while serving active duty as a Navy Nurse Corps officer. She subsequently worked at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA as an RN after honorable discharge from the military.

Dr. Callaghan truly believes that in order to do the most good for patients, healthcare professionals have to focus on more than getting medications right. It involves more focus on alternative medicine, natural remedies, nutrition and proper exercise while focusing on the patient as a whole being consisting of balanced mind, body, and spirit. This ideal thinking is what drove her to stand out amongst her peers and pursue an associate’s degree in clinical nutrition from the Virginia Culinary Institute in Norfolk, VA. She strives towards excellence in every aspect of her life and fully embraces the military core values of honor, courage, and commitment taken from her time serving in the United States Navy.
